We offer a range of mental health services, including individual therapy, medication management, coping skills building, and telehealth services. Our team of licensed mental health professionals is dedicated to providing compassionate care to all of our clients.
Emily Palacio, DNP, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, PHN
Emily Palacio has over 20 years of healthcare experience including specialties in emergency and psychiatric nursing, family practice, gynecology, and dermatology, including 5 years of experience in advanced practice as a Nurse Practitioner with medication management.
She is doctorally prepared with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree and has dual licensure as a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She specializes in mindfulness modalities which she integrates into psychotherapy in practice.
Emily Palacio speaks both English and Spanish and welcomes all clients from diverse backgrounds.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness strategies help to reduce stressful symptoms of anxiety and depression. I will guide you to become more aware of sensations in your body and negative thoughts you may experience. Mindfulness strategies offer an accepting, non-judgmental approach to gently shifting your focus to a positive and calm place to foster a healing change. I will provide tools that are easy to use anywhere, including your home, work, school, or social settings.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies will help you to change behavior patterns that do not serve your mental wellness. I will help you become aware of your thoughts and feelings while empowering you to recognize areas that you can improve upon. The techniques I will teach you will make adapting to difficult situations easier and help you to change negative perceptions of yourself and others.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an excellent form of therapy for individuals experiencing emotional distress and dysregulation and for those having interpersonal relationship difficulties. I will help you to explore any harmful behavioral patterns and help you to better cope with mindfulness strategies and healthy ways to find balance in a chaotic world. We cannot avoid all stress but we can learn to manage it better.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Many people seek therapy because they want to change something about themselves. If you are having mixed feelings about changing, having some hesitation, low confidence, or feeling doubtful about your ability to change, motivational interviewing can help you! Through motivational interviewing, I will partner with you to guide your thought process so you can find your own realistic and meaningful reasons to take action and change your life.
Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma-informed care helps my clients to feel safe and empowered because this type of therapy provides emotional support, transparency, and collaboration between the provider and the client. Trauma-informed care helps clients feel heard and understood and the goals of therapy include building trust and maintaining respect. Clients can respond to therapy better when the provider is responsive to each person's individual needs and when humility is honored. I provide culturally competent care to minimize bias so clients can feel they are in a safe place to discuss painful experiences. Together, we will build your resilience and ensure you feel recognized and validated.
